Finolex Academy Alumni Association has planned a series of lectures by Alumni for on-campus students. Many of the alumni have accepted the invitation of FAMTAA to deliver the talks on subjects of their expertise. Mr Yuvraj Awalekar delivered a talk on Entering top IT MNCs through CDAC on Sunday 4th October 2020 through Google meet.
Mr Yuvraj Awalekar, an alumnus of FAMT, has graduated in Mechanical Engineering with CGPA of 8.00. Presently, he is working as Associate Software QA Engineer in Vertilas Technologies LLC. He has also completed M.E. in CAD/CAM/CAE. He has secured 319 rank in CCAT exam. He completed his PGDAC from CDAC ACTS, Pune. During his tenure in FAMT, he participated in Autoexpo and other events and underwent ANSYS training.
During the session, he explained the opportunities in the IT field to non IT, students. Initially, he shared information on CDAC institute, different courses conducted through CDAC and specialized courses for ENTC. He discussed the syllabus of the PGDAC entrance exam and different papers, weightage, and duration of different topics. In his opinion, getting good marks will ensure admission to a good course and campus. He guided the students on preparation for the entrance. He advised students to work 24*7 during the course as non-IT students need to learn many new concepts. Finally, he discussed the placement process and tip to get into the best companies. During the question-answer session, he claimed that the learning of C++ through YouTube videos is easy and learning python, java will not be easy.
