Ratnagiri District Level Startup Boot Camp 2022
Ratnagiri District Level Startup Boot Camp 2022 at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology under the Department of Endowment Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation organized by Maharashtra State Innovation Society under Maharashtra Startup Yatra 2022.
Ratnagiri District Level Startup Boot Camp 2022 was organized on 14 October 2022 in gracious presence of the Chief Guest Hon’ble Dr. Ashish Panat (Director, Innovation Incubation and Linkages, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai), Mrs. Inuja Shaikh (Assistant Commissioner, District Skill Development Employment and Industrial Guidance Centre, Ratnagiri), Mr. Kotavadekar (Directorate of Vocational Education and Training), Shri Shetye (Principal, Industrial Training Institute, Ratnagiri), Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, Finolex Academy. The Startup Yatra was held to promote the best business ideas at the local level and to provide a nurturing environment for budding entrepreneurs.
The program started with the national anthem and lamp lighting. In his welcome speech, the Principal of Finolex Academy Dr. Kaushal Prasad explained the importance of a knowledge base and innovative ideas required for startups with examples. He also explained how important Make in India and Start-Up India is in the progress of the country. Mrs. Inuja Shaikh informed all about the format of the Maharashtra Startup Yatra 2022 Boot Camp. She also congratulated the candidates who presented their innovative industrial ideas in the startup boot camp.
The Chief Guest Hon’ble Dr. Ashish Panat conducted a startup workshop that covered the essentials and skills needed to start a startup. Dr. Ketan Chaudhary, Smt. Shramta Nalavde, Shri. Makarand Kesarkar, Mr. Chandrasekhar Shinde and Dr. Ashish Panat guided the attendees about the startup and entrepreneurship opportunities in their respective fields and the skills development required for it. Mr. Ganesh Bitode (Skills, Employment, and Entrepreneurship Guidance Officer) thanked the participants. Prof. Darshana Bapat moderated.
Innovative Idea Presentation sessions were organized in this boot camp. A total of 67 teams presented their business ideas out of which 3 best ideas were announced by Hon. Ratnagiri District Collector Shri. Devendra Singh. Those 3 best ideas were also selected for Startup Yatra’s state-level presentation competition. The first prize went to Mrs. Madhuri Prateek Kalambate for her idea “Oasis – The Plant Library”, and the second prize to Shri. Mayur Balasaheb Kolhe for his idea of a ”Portable Multipurpose Food Processing Machine” and third prize to Shri. Vishwajit Yogesh Salvi was awarded for the idea of ”Plastic Blocks”. District Level Awards were given at the hands Shri. Udayaji Samant, Minister (Industries) Maharashtra State and Foster Minister Ratnagiri and Raigad District.
The first prize winner Mrs. Madhuri Prateek Kalambate won the first prize in the other category at the state level. She was felicitated by the Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhavan on October 15, 2022, with a cash prize of Rs. One Lakh.
A total of 24 Jury members from various government offices and educational institutions of Ratnagiri district worked in the selection process.
Mr. Gajanan Targaonkar, the Registrar, FAMT, Mr. Amey Raykar, Dr. Jayant Mane, Prof. Hemant Chavan, Prof. Srikrishna Bobde and the students of Mechanical Engineering Students Association and Chemical Engineering Students Association worked hard for a successful programme. Mrs Inuja Shaikh (Assistant Commissioner, District Skill Development Employment and Industrial Guidance Centre, Ratnagiri), Mr. Ganesh Bitode (Employment Officer) and his office staff also made valuable contribution.
