Workshop on Cyber Crime Awareness & Safety Tips
A one-day workshop on Cyber Crime Awareness & Safety Tips was held by the Department of MCA and Student Association of MCA on 09th September 2023 for the students of First Year MCA.
For this workshop, Hon. Principal Dr Kaushal Prasad sir, Hon. Head of the Department Prof. Tejas Joshi and all faculty members of the MCA department were present.
Ms Tejal Shenvi from FYMCA introduced the resource person of this workshop, Dr. Akshay Phatak. He is a well-known Police Mitra and Businessman in Ratnagiri. His area of interest is Cybercrime and ethical hacking. He aims to spread awareness regarding Cyber crimes in the current era through students and social awareness.
Dr Akshay Phatak guided students on how to protect their systems from scams, different Cyber attacks and any other phishing techniques. He also carried out the 2-step verification of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook accounts of students. He motivated students to spread awareness regarding precautions to be taken while using PCs, laptops, Mobile and the Internet. Students interacted with him and asked their doubts. The total number of beneficiaries of the workshop is: 68Ms. Akshada Patil (Student, MCA) expressed a vote of thanks. Prof. Ajinkya S. Naphade coordinated the event.
