Workshop on Avishkar Research Convention: 2019-20

For

Zone No. VI (Ratnagiri District) and Zone No. VII (Sindhudurg District)

On behalf of University of Mumbai, Finolex Academy of Management & Technology, Ratnagiri conducted a Workshop on Avishkar Research Convention: 2019-20 on 06^th July 2019 with the support of Research Development & Consultancy Committee. The workshop was organized under the guidance of Dr Sunil Patil, Director, Department of Students’ Development, University of Mumbai. It was held for all Faculty members and Students of Mumbai University of Zone No. VI (Ratnagiri District) and Zone No. VII (Sindhudurg District). Total 51 faculty members of 31 institutes and 50 students of 18 institutes participated in this workshop

Prof. D. S. Nangare, welcomed the University officials, resource persons and participants for the workshop. Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, FAMT, felicitated the University officials and resource persons. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Minakshi Gurav, Convener, Avishkar Research Convention, University of Mumbai.

Dr. Minakshi Gurav briefed about the rules, regulations and scope of Avishkar Research Convention to the participants in the first session of workshop. The second session was based on Commerce, Management and Law by Dr. Samrat Jadhav, Dr. C.D. Deshmukh Commerce and Sau. K. G. Tamhane, Arts College, Roha. Dr. Chandrasheel Tambe, C.H.M. College, Ulhasnagaron addressed the participants on Humanities, Languages and Fine Arts in the third session. Dr. Shyam Joshi, D.B.J. College, Chiplun, addressed on Engineering and Technology. The fifth session was conducted by Dr. Amit Deogirikar, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dapoli, on Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.

The frontiers of education are changing continuously to shift people from the knowledge based society to a society of innovation; thus, research has become one of the most important components of higher education. Therefore, one of the indices for the measurement of such potential of any educational institution is its research activities. Avishkar Research Convention is one of such platform for students, teachers and other entities in the higher educational institutes to participate and engage themselves in research at various levels.

This workshop created awareness among participants and helped them in knowing about the entire process of Avishkar Research Convention. Dr Shashikant S Goilkar, Dean, Research and Development and his Research, Development and Consultancy Committee members took efforts under the guidance of Principal, Dr Kaushal Prasad to conduct this workshop smoothly at FAMT.
