Workshop on Application and New Trends in Blockchain Technology
The Computer Science and Engineering(AI & ML) Department organized a one-day Workshop on Applications and New Trends in Blockchain Technology on 19th October 2023. Dr Bhushan Jadhav, Assistant Professor at Thodomal Shahani Engineering College, and Conveyor of the subject Orientation Program on Blockchain Technology of Mumbai University, conducted this workshop in an online mode. The main objective of this workshop was to motivate students to do hands-on projects on Blockchain and also to know what are the current trends in Blockchain Technology.
In the first session, Dr. Jadhav explained Hyper-ledger and Hyper-ledger Fabric which was followed by a demonstration of Tokens and ICO and various Consensus protocols in private Blockchain in the second session. In the last session, he explained the applications of Blockchain in various sectors like Education, Healthcare and Supply Chain. He also presented some of the project ideas related to Blockchain Technology with students.
Prof. A.N. Shetye was a coordinator for this workshop. Ms Sanika Pawar and Mr Zohaib Hamdule expressed gratitude to Dr Jadhav for the informative session. The entire B.E. class of 38 students actively participated in this workshop.This workshop was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof. V.V. Nimbalkar, the Head of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) Department.
