Webinar on “National Education Policy 2020”
Internal Quality Assurance Committee (IQAC) of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology had organized a webinar on “National Education Policy 2020” on June 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM. The objective behind organizing this program was to understand National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) from engineering education point of view. Dr. Vijay Joshi – Chief-consultant, RUSA Govt. of Maharashtra was the expert speaker who gave detailed information about the new education policy. He reminded audience that our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had narrated NEP 2020 as ATIT SE JAHAN TAK. Dr Joshi described NEP 2020 as ‘India centric as well as Lerner centric’ which will nurture Indian heritage, pride and culture. He discussed various features such as it is based on fundamental Principles, bridge between tradition and modernity, extensive use of Technology etc. He explained restructuring and consolidation of higher education. He summarized NEP 2020 and said that implementation of policy will be key opportunity to look inwards. Further he said institutions can use it effectively as game changer with required vision. Faculty members interacted with the speakers and got their doubts clarified.
Principal, Dr. Kaushal Prasad addressed the audience and gave brief information about NEP2020. Dr. Yogesh Mulye, Professor and IQAC Coordinator had welcomed speaker and introduced the program. Prof Darshana Bapat anchored the program. The backend was managed by Prof. Laxman Naiknaware and Prof. Manik Gujar. The program was aired live through YouTube in which around 250 faculty, staff members, and students participated. It was organized under the guidance of respected Principal, Dr Kaushal Prasad.
