WDC Organised Essay Writing Competition
The objective of the Women Development Cell is to promote the general well-being of female students and staff at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT). For these various seminars, talks and event are arranged by the Cell. It also addresses concerns of gender discrimination and recommends measures, policies and various activities to be conducted for gender equality.
In this context, the Women Development Cell of FAMT organized an Essay Writing Competition’ on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day’ on the latest topics namely-
- “Women and Digital Development”
- “Global Movement for Gender Equality”
- “Importance of Financial Equality for Women”
- “Equal Access of Women to Justice”
The event was conducted on 13th March 2024, in the C1/5 classroom of Mechanical Block from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It was for both girl and boy students of FAMT took part. The objective of the event was to motivate students to express their views on trending and important topics and also to sensitize them on the said topics through their writing skills.
The judge for the event was Prof. Nargis Gangrekar from FAMT itself. She has been working as an Assistant Professor in the subject of communication skills in the Department of First-Year Engineering for the last 14 years.
