Two day workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights” was conducted at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri by Research Development & Consultancy Committee on 24th March 2018. Faculty, Laboratory Assistants, Librarians and PG Students of Finolex Academy and the faculty members of nearby Engineering College/ Polytechnic/Science College, attended the workshop.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Dhruv Brahmbhatt, Managing Director and Miss. Pooja Menon, COO of MyCrave Consultancy. In the beginning of workshop, Prof. L D Naiknaware, Member of RDCC welcomed the resource persons and participants. Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, FAMT felicitated the resource persons with the bouquet. In his speech he emphasized on the role of teachers in connection with IPR. Dr S S Goilkar brief about the importance of Intellectual Property Rights to the participants.
The main objective of this workshop was to make participants familiar with the Intellectual Property Rights, Copyright, Trademark and Patent Filing process. It has gained a special importance for all the domains of socio-economic development.
This workshop covered various topics like what is Intellectual property, Introduction to Patent, Contents and process of Patent filing, Copyright, Trademark, and E-filing/physical filing. The sessions were conducted to cover the technical aspects with well known examples. Further, the role of IP in “Make in India” was specially highlighted by the resource persons in the sessions.
This workshop helped the participants to get insight into the intellectual property rights, detail process of Copyright, Trademark and Patent filing. The workshop received highly enthusiastic response from 62 participants.
