Triumph of Innovation – Team Matadors from Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri, at SAE INDIA
e-BAJA Competition 2024
Event Overview: The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India organized the prestigious e-BAJA Competition 2024, a national-level event, hosted by B.V. Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur, Telangana. From the 6th to the 11th of March 2024, teams from various institutions across the country showcased their innovation and engineering prowess in the field of electric all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

Team Composition: Team Matadors comprised 18 dedicated students and one esteemed faculty advisor, Prof. Prasad J. Kadam. Their collaborative efforts and innovative spirit were instrumental in the success of their participation.
Pre-Event Inauguration: Before the commencement of the competition, the Principal of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Dr. Kaushal Prasad Sir, inaugurated the All-Terrain Electric Vehicle developed by Team Matadors. Dr Kaushal Prasad Sir expressed his best wishes to the team, encouraging them to showcase their skills and represent the institution with distinction.
Recognition and Appreciation: During the event, Team Matadors’ electric ATV garnered significant attention and appreciation. Mr. B.S. Ramesh, Head of Academic Initiatives at ALTAIR, lauded the team’s efforts and innovation in designing the vehicle. Their creation was commended for its engineering excellence and forward-thinking approach.
Media Coverage: The electric ATV developed by Team Matadors gained widespread recognition and appeared in seven different Telangana newspapers. This extensive media coverage highlighted the team’s achievement and showcased their project to a broader audience, further enhancing their reputation.
Individual Achievement: Mr. Zeeshan Wadkar, a member of Team Matadors pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, achieved remarkable success. He cleared the BAJA Aptitude Test, demonstrating his exceptional skills and knowledge in the field. Subsequently, Mr. Wadkar was selected by DEP Meshwork Company for further rounds, symbolizing the talent nurtured within the institution.
