Teachers’ Day Celebration
In India, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day as a mark of tribute to the contributions made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a strong believer of education and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a teacher.
FAMT celebrated Teachers’ Day on 6th September, 2018. The programme, organized by Cultural Committee, included motivational speeches and activities which were helpful to improve and test skills required by the good teachers. Many faculty members attended the programme.
Dr. Kaushal Prasad explained the importance of being a teacher. Dr. S. V. Chougule guided all the faculty members about how to keep balance between professional and family life and motivated the members to pursue research. In the second part of the programme, all faculty members enjoyed recreational activities based on boosting their skills as teachers.
Prof. R. R. Kulkarni felicitated Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal, Dr. S. V. Chougule, Speaker of the programme and HoD E&Tc and Dr. Milind Kirkire, Dean Academics. Prof. P. P. Abhyankar prepared and played a video clip on life of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Prof. D.M. Bapat anchored the programme. The programme ended with vote of thanks.
