Swacchata Hi Seva (Cleanliness Drive)

The Swacchata Hi Seva campaign was conducted at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT), Ratnagiri, on 30th September and 1st October 2024. This two-day event was part of the national initiative to promote cleanliness and hygiene, in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission. This event was part of the nationwide cleanliness drive inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean and self-reliant India.

A total of 23 volunteers actively participated in the campaign, which focused on cleaning the campus and raising awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

On the first day, the volunteers began with a campus-wide cleanliness drive. They cleaned various areas of the campus, including corridors, and outdoor spaces. The participants were enthusiastic about contributing to a cleaner and more organized environment, working together to collect and properly dispose of waste.On the second day, the focus shifted to reducing waste,recycling, and proper waste segregation. They also encouraged everyone to participate in the Swacchata Hi Seva movement.

The campaign successfully instilled a sense of responsibility among the participants and reinforced the importance of cleanliness in daily life. The Swacchata Hi Seva event was a valuable contribution to FAMT’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability and hygiene, leaving a positive impact on the entire campus.
