Student Alumni Interaction
The Department of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) organized a Student–Alumni Interaction Program on 03rd December 2025 with the aim of strengthening the connection between academic learning and industry expectations. The program provided a valuable platform for students to interact directly with an experienced industry professional and gain practical insights into career planning and professional growth.
The resource person for the program was Mr. Azhar Bandri, Chief Operating Officer at Pleximus Inc. and a proud alumnus of the MCA department. The session began with a formal introduction of the resource person by Prof. Tejas V. Joshi, Head of the Department of MCA, who highlighted the professional achievements and industry experience of the alumnus, setting a positive tone for the interaction.
During the interactive session, Mr. Azhar Bandri shared his experiences and guided students on how to start a career with small companies, emphasizing that such organizations provide broader exposure, hands-on learning, and opportunities to work across multiple domains. He explained that these experiences help young professionals build strong technical foundations and adaptability, which are essential for long-term career success. He also discussed the increasing importance of AI tools in software development, explaining how artificial intelligence is transforming coding practices, testing, automation, and overall software productivity.
The alumnus further elaborated on the current market scenario and industry requirements, stressing the need for continuous learning, practical skills, and alignment with emerging technologies. He encouraged students to focus not only on academic performance but also on skill development, problem-solving abilities, and industry-relevant knowledge to remain competitive in the evolving IT landscape. The session witnessed active participation from students, who raised queries related to career growth, technology trends, and industry expectations.
