Seminar on Role of Chemical Engineer in Process Industry
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Seminar on Role of Chemical Engineer in Process Industry on 8th April 2022. Mr Siddhesh Vijay Palande, an alumnus of the Chemical Engineering Department working as Executive Process Engineer in JNK India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai was invited to interact with Second Year, Third Year and Final Year Chemical Engineering students, to understand the role of chemical engineer in the process industry.
The seminar was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) and began in presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Nitin Kanse and Prof. Subhash S Kadlag. Mr Siddhesh Vijay Palande shared his journey in FAMT and explained the roles and responsibilities of a process engineer in the chemical industry. He also elaborated on work culture in the industry and guided the students about their role in selection as process engineers. The third year Chemical Engineering students coordinated the event successfully. Ms Purva Vanjari hosted the program and all faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department were present for the seminar.
The seminar was attended by 54 students and was coordinated successfully by Prof. Subhash S Kadlag and Prof. P. A. Giri.
