Seminar on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace – Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal Act 2013
Women’s Grievance Redressal Cell & Women Development Cell organized a seminar on ‘Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace – Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal Act-2013’ on February 27, 2017 as per the initiative of Maharashtra Commission for Women, State Government of Maharashtra at FAMT. Mrs. Sandhya Sukhatankar, an imminent advocate, addressed the girl students and female faculty members on background to sexual harassment of women at workplace act 2013, importance of Vishakha guidelines, details of Act 2013 and preventative measures.
The programme began with welcome and felicitation of the guest speaker by Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal FAMT. It was followed by the talk by the guests and vote of thanks. The audience found the seminar informative, relevant and engaging. The conveners Prof. V M. Kulkarni and Prof. H. N. Kelkar along with the members of WGRC and WDC coordinated the programme.
