Seminar on “Opportunities in the Biological Wastewater Treatment Industries”
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Seminar on “ Opportunities in the Biological Wastewater Treatment Industries ” on 03rd April 2023. Mr Gunjan Baviskar, an alumnus of the Chemical Engineering Department from the 2021 batch, currently working as a Project Incharge, Bio-Petro Clean India Pvt. Ltd., was invited to interact with Final Year Chemical Engineering students, to understand the nature of wastewater treatment industries, the present scenario of wastewater treatment in Indian industries, its need and opportunities in this field.
The seminar was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) and began in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Nitin Kanse and Prof. D. C. Dengale. Mr Gunjan Baviskar shared his academic experience in FAMT and the role of project engineer in wastewater treatment industries. He also shared the type and details of projects to be undertaken in wastewater treatment and the responsibilities of a project engineer. Final-year Chemical Engineering students coordinated the event successfully. Ms Purva Vanjari hosted the program successfully.
The event was attended by 20 students and was coordinated successfully by Prof. D. C. Dengale.
