R&D Orientation Program for Faculty & Student

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Research & Development Cell (RDC) of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT) organized a R&D Orientation Program for Faculty & Students on 18th February 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Sandeep Chawda, Dean (R&D).

The program aimed to raise awareness about Research and Development (R&D) and to strengthen the research culture among faculty members and students. The session covered the concept and importance of R&D in academia, along with the existing R&D culture at FAMT. The roles and responsibilities of faculty and students in promoting research and innovation were explained, including project guidance, participation in mini and major projects, internships, innovation activities, and collaborative research efforts.

The presentation also highlighted research opportunities for students, the institutional R&D support system, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness, research ethics, global best practices in R&D, and guidance on initiating research activities. The importance of protecting research outcomes through patents, copyrights, and institutional IPR support mechanisms was also discussed.

Nearly 50 participants, including faculty members and students, attended the session and actively engaged in the interactive discussion. The program concluded with a question–and–answer session, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to promoting research, innovation, and ethical practices in alignment with the objectives of the IIC under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC).
