Field Visits to the Institute of Satellite Telecomm. Pvt. Ltd., Pune and Pralhad P. Chhabria Research Center Pune
The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering organized the Field Visits to the Institute of Satellite Telecomm. Pvt. Ltd., Pune and Pralhad P. Chhabria Research Center Pune, on 5th and 6th March 2020 respectively for the final year students.
At Institute of Satellite Telecomm. Pvt. Ltd., the students observed the facility and demonstration of different satellite communication applications. They also learned the concepts of earth station Antennas, global satellite operation, Vsat network, and DTH network with a physical demonstration.
At Pralhad P. Chhabria Research Center Pune, the students got insights into the on-going sponsored research & consultancy projects with a demonstration of the products developed at PPCRC. This demonstration was followed by a visit to the Science exhibition of PPCRC.
A total of 42 students of the BE Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department with the 02 faculty members made the field visits. It was arranged with the permission of Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal FAMT with the initiative and valuable guidance of Dr. Sharada Chougule, Head of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department. The visit was planned and coordinated by Prof. Saurabh Athalye, Prof. Mansi Kolwankar, and Prof. Harshal Gosavi.
