Parents Meeting Conducted by Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized a Parent Meet on Saturday, 29th March 2025. The meeting aimed to foster a strong communication channel between parents and the Department, facilitating a collaborative approach to student development and academic success.

The meet commenced with a welcome address. Prof. Jayesh Anavkar extended a cordial welcome to all the parents and emphasized the importance of their active involvement in their child’s academic journey.

Dr. Milind Kirkire, Head of Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the Department’s facilities, achievements, and academic initiatives. He gave detailed information about the Department’s laboratories, workshops, and other resources available to students. He highlighted students and faculty achievements, including project successes, research publications, and participation in national/international competitions and also the Department’s efforts in preparing students as per industry requirements, including industry collaborations, workshops, seminars, and placement training by sharing insights into the skills and competencies expected from graduates by various industries.

Following the presentation, an interactive session was conducted where parents had the opportunity to meet with their child’s respective class teachers. This session facilitated personalized discussions regarding individual feedback on academic performance, strengths, and areas for improvement, student attendance records and overall conduct.

A total of 22 parents attended the meeting, demonstrating a strong interest in their child’s education and engagement with the Department. The meeting provided a valuable platform for parents to gain a deeper understanding of the department’s activities and initiatives. The interactive session with class teachers facilitated meaningful dialogue and personalized feedback. Parents expressed appreciation for the department’s efforts in preparing students for industry readiness.
