‘Parents Meet’ of T. E. Electrical was organized by the department of Electrical Engineering on Saturday, 25 February 2017. The meeting began in the presence of Prof. S. H. Mhabadi, Head of the department, Mr. S. S. Wamane, class teacher of T. E. Electrical along with concerned subject teachers and Mentors viz. Mr. N. V. Kelkar, Mr. M. S. Modak, Mr. P. J. Kadam and Mr. V. A. Sansare, , Mr. N. N. Kasar. Prof. S. H. Mhabadi welcomed the 37 parents present for the meeting and gave a presentation on the department profile i.e. highlights of department, faculty members and staff, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs conducted /organized, future plans of department and alumni association. He also elaborated the importance of various workshops, course enrichments and add-on courses from the placement point of view with examples of alumni working as an entrepreneur and pursuing higher education.
It was followed by discussion session with the parents. They made some queries related to attendance and results of their ward. HOD and other faculty members answered them satisfactorily. The parent shared some suggestions related to the communication between the department and them which were noted by the teachers so to execute. Many parents were glad to receive the invitation for the meet and also expressed their happiness about the functioning of the department. Feedback forms were circulated amongst parents. Meeting ended with vote of thanks.
