Chemical Engineering Department Held Parents Meet
‘Parents Meet’ of Second Year and Third Year Chemical Engineering was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering on Sunday, 21 August 2022. The meeting was attended by parents, Dr N. G. Kanse, Head of the Department, Prof. P. A. Giri, Class Teacher of TE and Prof. S. S. Kadlag, Class Teacher of SE along with all concerned Subject Teachers and Mentors of SE and TE. Prof. D. C. Dengale, Prof. S. B. Bobde, Prof. A. K. Bandsode, Prof. Y. A. Landge and Prof. R. K. Marag.
Dr N. G. Kanse welcomed the parents and gave a presentation on the department profile i.e. highlights of department, faculty and staff, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs conducted/organized, plans of department, training and placement details and alumni association. He also elaborated on the importance of courses available on an online platform like Coursera and Infosys Springboard etc. He also interacted with parents on various workshops, course enrichments and add-on courses from the placement point of view.
After the formal welcome and department presentation, all parents visited the departmental laboratories. Faculty members explained the respective laboratory details and ongoing student projects to the parents. All parents appreciated the laboratory infrastructure and information received about students’ academic projects.
The meeting was attended by 08 parents along with students and ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. P. A. Giri.
