One-day Technical Workshop on the Assembly and Disassembly of IC Engine

The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day Workshop on the Assembly and Disassembly of Internal Combustion (IC) Engines for First Year Mechanical Engineering students as a part of the laboratory course “Elements of Mechanical Engineering (PCL2018)” under the NEP 2020 curriculum on Friday, 20 February 2026, at the IC Engine Laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Department, FAMT.

The workshop was conducted by experts from Ekta, Ratnagiri Two-Wheeler Association, who provided practical and industry-oriented training to 75 FE Mechanical engineering students. For hands-on practice, a total of seven IC engines were made available, including two-stroke and four-stroke engines. Students actively participated in the systematic assembly and disassembly of the engines under expert supervision. The workshop helped students identify various components of IC engines and understand the function and working of each component.

The workshop was successfully organized by the subject teacher, Prof. Hemant V. Chavan, under the guidance of the MESA faculty in charge, Prof.Gaytri Abhyankar, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr. Milind S.
