New Laws Workshop
A New Laws Workshop was organized by NSS Unit on 29th January 2025 at Finolex Academy of Management and Technology (FAMT) by the Office of the Police Superintendent, Ratnagiri. The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students about recent changes and developments in Indian laws.
On the occasion of the inauguration of this workshop, Hon. Smt. Radhika Phadke (Deputy Superintendent of Police (Home), Ratnagiri) explained the need for awareness regarding new laws.
Hon. Smt. Meghana Nalawade (Government Prosecutor, Ratnagiri) guided on the Indian Code of Judicial Procedure 2023 and the Indian Civil Protection Code 2023 in the first session of the workshop.
In the second session of the workshop, Hon. Dr. Ashish Ghanshyam Barve (Principal, Shriman Bhagojisheth Keer Law College, Ratnagiri) guided on the Indian Evidence Act 2023. Hon. Smt. Jayshree Gaikwad (Additional Superintendent of Police, Ratnagiri) guided the concluding session of the program. Smt. Apoorva Bapat (Assistant Police Sub-Inspector, Ratnagiri), Mr. Rajendra Bhatkar (Police Sub-Inspector, Ratnagiri) and Mrs. Siya Ghag (Police Head Constable, Ratnagiri) were also present for the program.
The session was highly informative and interactive, with a focus on educating young citizens about their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of legal awareness in day-to-day life. A total of 129 students from various branches of FAMT actively participated in the workshop.
The students found the workshop enriching and relevant to current societal needs. It concluded with a vote of thanks and a call to students to become more legally aware and responsible citizens. FAMT expresses its sincere gratitude to the Office of the Police Superintendent, Ratnagiri, for conducting this valuable initiative.
