The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri organized an ‘Industrial Visit to JK Files (India)Limited, Ratnagiri’, on 25th January 2020 for the students of second-year Mechanical Engineering.
Mr.Praksh Parulekar, HR Manager (JK Files Ltd. Ratnagiri) guided the students about the safety regulations to be followed in Industry. In this visit, students learned the importance, applications, use, and implementation of various manufacturing and material handling processes that are extensively used in manufacturing industries. During the visit, useful information related to material storage, material handling, centreless grinding process, heat treatment process, automatic packaging, and dispatch was given by practical means.
A total of 106 students of the second-year Mechanical Engineering Department along with three faculty members visited the Industry. It was arranged with the permission of Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal FAMT with the initiative and valuable guidance of Dr. Milind S. Kirkire, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department. The entire visit was successfully planned and coordinated by Prof. Gayatri Abhyankar, Prof. Amar Yekane, and Prof.Pratik Kamble.
