ISTE Approved One Week Online FDP on Reimagining Teaching Excellence: AI Competencies & Industry 5.0 Skills for Modern Educators Jointly organised by the Departments of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Information Technology, FAMT, Ratnagiri

Introduction:

The ISTE Approved One Week Online FDP entitled “Reimagining Teaching Excellence: AI Competencies & Industry 5.0 Skills for Modern Educators” was jointly organized by the Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and the Department of Information Technology from 16 February 2026 to 21 February 2026 at Finolex Academy of Management & Technology, Ratnagiri.

The FDP was organized as an attempt to bring academicians and educators under one roof to master modern educational skills. It was conducted over a span of one week and was divided into targeted learning sessions. The following were some of the important objectives of the FDP.

  • To enhance understanding of AI and Industry 5.0 concepts, and their integration into modern education to promote human-centric innovation, intelligent automation, and future-ready pedagogy.
  • To develop competency in implementing AI-driven tools and emerging technologies for smarter teaching–learning systems, outcome-based assessments, aligned with industry practices.

The Faculty Development Programme received an overwhelming response, with a total of 146 participants – comprising faculty participants from degree/diploma engineering, biotechnology, commerce and management streams – registering from various esteemed academic institutions across 14 different states in India. This diverse geographic and multidisciplinary representation greatly enriched the peer learning experience and discussions throughout the week.
