ISTE Approved One Week Online FDP on AI Algorithms and Applications in Healthcare
ISTE Approved One Week Online FDP on AI Algorithms and Applications in Healthcare was organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department (EXTC) from 19th June to 23rd June 2023 daily from 10.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m.
The following are objective of this online FDP program:
- Enhance understanding of AI algorithms and applications in healthcare.
- Build proficiency in AI integration and implementation in healthcare education and research.
In the five days Faculty Development Program, sessions were conducted on the Overview of AI in Healthcare, AI algorithms (CNN, RNN, LSTN, Reinforced Learning) for Healthcare, Ethics and issues of AI in Healthcare, Natural Language, Deep Learning Algorithms for Healthcare, Hands-on session, Generative AI in Healthcare, AI in dentistry, Biomedical/image processing applications in Healthcare, Text Analytics and NLP for Health Care and Societal Implication of it, Image analysis using ML for Biomedical Applications, Hands-on session, Pattern recognition in Electrocardiogram, Case studies of AI in Healthcare.
The Resource Persons Mr Adep Venugopal (Lead Data Scientist, General Manager, Reliance Jio), Dr Raja Moorthy (Chief Operating Officer, Kirusa Inc.), Mr Pramod Kachare (RAIT, Mumbai), Dr Hemprasad Patil (VIT, Vellore), Dr Yogesh. H. Dandwate (VIIT, Pune), Dr Ashutosh Marathe (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune) , Dr Suhasini Goilkar (Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri), Mr Prakash Pimpale, CDAC Mumbai, Dr Satishkumar Chavan (Associate Professor, Don Bosco Institute of Technology Kurla West), Dr Rajesh Ghongade (Bharati Vidyapeeth – Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune) delivered the informative sessions on healthcare algorithms, case studies and hands-on sessions.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023, a session on Yoga and Health was conducted by Prof. G S Kulkarni, FAMT Ratnagiri,
Dr. Suhasini S. Goilkar and Mr. Saurabh A. Athalye, Faculty coordinators of this faculty development program welcomed the speaker and all participants. Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Finolex Academy of Management and Technology graced the inaugural program, Dr. S. V. Chougule, Head of EXTC Department, delivered the keynote address about the purpose and objectives of organizing this Online FDP on AI Algorithms and Applications in Healthcare.
The valedictory function and Online Quiz were conducted on the last day at the end of the session. The faculty development program was organized by Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department (EXTC), and coordinated by Dr Suhasini S. Goilkar and Mr Saurabh A. Athalye of EXTC Department, under the guidance of HOD EXTC Dr S.V. Chougule.
A total of 86 participants from different colleges completed the faculty development program. Participants actively participated in the five days ISTE Approved One Week Online FDP on AI Algorithms and Applications in Healthcare and shared their feedback on this faculty development program. Participants appreciated the department organizing team for the overall organization of this FDP and showed their interest in attending such events in future also.
