Online Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights Awareness and IP Management for Startups
An IIC calendar event on Online Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights Awareness and IP Management for Startups was conducted by the Institute’s Innovation Council under the aegis of NIPAM (National IP Awareness Mission) on 8th April 2022 for the students of all branches of FAMT. Ms Ujjwal Jaipal Singh, the examiner of patents & designs at the Mumbai Patent office, was the resource person for the event.
Ms Ujjwal initially introduced students to the basics & Types of Intellectual property rights and discussed the essentials to draft a good patent proposal with the examples from engineering domain. The students were also guided about patents on startups and the process for the same.
A total of 298 participants (students and faculty members) attended this event at ICT classrooms and through the online meeting. In the question-answer session, questions regarding fees and time frames for patent filing and other IP rights were addressed in detail. Mr Jayesh S Anavkar, Mr Suhas Mahabdi IIC Members along with Mr Jayant J Mane, IIC President coordinated this event. IIC student representatives Mr Varad Joshi, Mr Swapnil and Mr Sunial Rajput helped in the successful conduction of the event.
