Industrial Field Visit to Ratnagreen Techno Services
On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering organized an industrial field visit for its Second-Year EXTC students (57 students participated) to Ratnagreen Techno Services in Ratnagiri. Students were accompanied by Prof. Saurabh Athalye (EXTC) and Prof. Mahesh Jadhav (CSE).
The visit was specifically designed to provide students with practical, real-world exposure to solid waste management (SWM) processes, a crucial modern industry where technology and engineering principles are paramount. Students gained firsthand insight into the complete SWM process flow, observing how advanced industrial technology and engineering principles are utilized in sorting, processing, and resource recovery, demonstrating the application of their theoretical knowledge in a demanding environmental context.
The interaction with the Ratnagreen Techno Services team was particularly valuable, allowing students to not only understand the operational aspects of waste management but also to explore the sector from an entrepreneurial perspective. Discussions centered on current technological challenges and the vast scope for future innovation, encouraging students to consider career paths in non-traditional, sustainable industries. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Manish Apte and his staff for their exceptional hospitality and commitment to enhancing industry-academic collaboration. This visit successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and industrial reality, preparing our students for future technical and entrepreneurial roles.
