FAMT IT department has signed an MoU with Amazon AWS to start an Amazon AWS Academy in the Institute. This is an industry-linked training and certification initiative. Amazon AWS Academy will provide a platform for the faculty members and students of FAMT to get the training on the Amazon AWS Certification at the basic, professional as well as associate level. The faculty members will first get the training and certification from Amazon and later they will train the students. This is actually a train the trainer model.
Faculty and students will be getting a straight 50% subsidy on the certification cost. Students from other institutes in the Konkan region can also participate in the training organized by Amazon AWS Academy at FAMT.
This will help faculty members to be updated with the latest industry standards in cloud computing and impart the training to the students. Students can avail of the professional training at the institute only at very less cost as well as Amazon AWS Academy will also refer industry for the placement process. The student who have completed the Associate and Professional Certification during their UG course will be having a better chance of placement with a very good salary package.
