Expert Lecture on Environmental Bioengineering: Scope and Opportunities
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized an expert lecture on Environmental Bioengineering: Scope and Opportunities on 16th February 2023. Dr. Sanket Bapat and Dr. Pranav Pathak, MIT School of Bioengineering Science and Research, MIT-ADT University, Pune were invited to interact with Second, Third and Final Year Chemical Engineering students, with an objective of awareness about future scope and opportunities in Environmental Bioengineering field.
The lecture was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students (ACES) and began in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr. Nitin Kanse and Prof. P. A. Giri. Dr. Bapat and Dr. Pathak shared their expertise about the higher education opportunities in a new field of Environmental Bioengineering. They also shared ongoing funded projects in this research area and the importance of Environmental Bioengineering. Final-year Chemical Engineering students coordinated the event successfully. Ms. Purva Vanjari hosted the program and all faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department were present for the event.
The event was attended by 43 students of the department.
