Expert Lecture on Biodiesel Production from Algae Oil
The Department of Chemical Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on Biodiesel Production from Algae Oil on 10thAugust 2023 in online mode. Prof. Dhundiraj Deshpande, Assistant Professor in Chemical Engineer Department, D.Y. Patil College Akurdi, was invited to interact with Second, Third and Final Year Chemical Engineering students, to create awareness about next-generation Biofuels as a renewable source of energy.
The lecture was arranged in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students(ACES) and began in the presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Nitin Kanse and the ACES In charge Prof. R. K. Marag. Prof. Dhundiraj Deshpande shared his expertise on Biodiesel Production from Algae Oil. He also explained his research experience with efficient and economic biodiesel production processes from different sources.
Ms. Samiya Shivkar welcomed the guest and Mr. Nilesh Gurav managed the program effectively. All faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department were present for the event. The lecture was attended by 32 students and was coordinated successfully by Prof. R. K. Marag.
