Engineer’s and Teacher’s Day Celebration
The Department of Information Technology and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Students Chapter organized “Engineer’s and Teacher’s Day Celebration” on 15th September, 2023. ‘Engineers’ Day is celebrated every year on September 15th in India to commemorate the birthday of one of the greatest Indian Engineers, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. This day serves as a tribute to the remarkable contributions of engineers to society and recognizes their role in shaping the world we live in.
The program commenced with the felicitation of all faculty members with flower plants by ACM student members and coordinators. Prof. V. A. Bharadi, Prof. G. G. Bhide, Prof. M.S.Joshi and Prof. S. V. Jadhav shared their views on this occasion. The event was hosted successfully by Ms. Shardul Salvi. Rane Darshan Sanjay, Maktumnavar Aayesha Dastageer Saheb, Padhye Amey Vilas and Devdhar Yashodhan Prasad delivered the speeches on Engineer’s Day. After the program, various events like quiz competition, problem solving and group discussion were organized for the students by the ACM.
The event was coordinated successfully by Prof. A. B. Vartak under the guidance of Dr. V. A. Bharadi, the Head of the Department.
