EESA Held a Tree Plantation Drive
The Electrical Engineering Students Association (EESA) organised a Tree Plantation Drive on Independence Day, 15th August 2023 on the FAMT campus. This initiative aimed to contribute to environmental conservation and promote the spirit of independence by planting trees.
We were fortunate to have received a generous donation of 12 saplings from Mr. Mahesh Sapre, Nursery Owner from Lanja and the Parent of BE Electrical Student, Miss Siddhi Sapre. These trees included a variety of species, such as Banyan, Bakul, and other botanically significant plants, which added to the ecological diversity of our campus.
The event was inaugurated by Dr Kaushal Prasad, the Principal of FAMT, who planted the first sapling. Deans and Heads of Departments (HODs) from all departments of the college actively participated in the tree plantation drive. This inclusive involvement from various academic units of the institution highlighted the collective responsibility and commitment towards a greener future.
The EESA team, comprising enthusiastic student volunteers, played a crucial role in coordinating the event smoothly. Their dedication and efforts ensured the event’s success, from planning to execution. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr Raykar, the Head of the Estate Department, and support staff for their valuable support throughout the tree plantation drive. Their assistance in logistical arrangements and ensuring the availability of necessary resources was invaluable. We thank Mr. Mahesh Sapre for his generous donation and everyone who participated in and supported this event. It is through such collective efforts that we can create a sustainable and greener future for our community and the planet
