Educational Visit of R. B. Shirke Jr. College Students to FAMT
An Educational Visit was organized at Hope Foundation’s Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri on 28th September, 2018 for 12th standard (Science)students of R. B. Shirke Jr. College, Ratnagiri. Total 19 Students participated in the visit. The purpose of the visit was to give an exposure to the students about practical insights into Engineering and Applications of Science and Technology.
In the Morning session Prof. Milind S. Yadav (Associate Professor and HoD, MED) delivered a seminar on Engineering as a Career Path after 12th and gave brief idea about different branches of Engineering along with job opportunities after Engineering. Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad interacted with students and discussed the need of Engineering in human life with examples.
After interactive session, the students in group of 10 each visited various laboratories from all the departments. The visit started with Mechanical Engineering Department and Workshop Facility wherein students visited Kinematic of Machinery Lab, Internal Combustion Engine Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Mechatronics Lab etc. The projects of final year students were also showcased during the visit.
In the evening session, the students visited various laboratories from Electrical, Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering departments where various projects like Remote controlled Robot, Voice controlled Robot, Electronic Dice, Street Light Controller, automated well unit etc. were demonstrated. The participants also visited Chemical Engineering and Information Technology Labs. The visit ended with student feedback session.
