Educational Visit of R. B. Shirke Jr. College, Ratnagiri
An Educational Visit was organized at Hope Foundation’s Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri on 23rd October 2022 for 12th standard (Science) students of R. B. Shirke Jr. College, Ratnagiri. A total of 36 Students participated in the visit. The visit gave these students practical insights into Engineering and Applications of Science and Technology.
In the Morning session Principal, Dr Kaushal Prasad delivered the welcome speech. Prof Vaibhav Sansare delivered a seminar on Engineering as a Career Path after the 12th and briefed about different branches of Engineering along with job opportunities after Engineering. Principal Dr Kaushal Prasad interacted with students and discussed the need for Engineering in human life with examples.
The visit started with Mechanical Engineering Department and Workshop Facility wherein the students visited the Centre of Excellence in computer-aided Product development and Automation, Project Based learning lab, Kinematic of Machinery Lab, Internal Combustion Engine Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Mechatronics Lab etc. The projects of final-year students were also showcased during the visit.
In the evening session, the students visited various laboratories from Electrical, CSE (AIML) and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering departments where various projects like Remote-controlled robots, Voice controlled robots, Electronic Dice, Street Light controllers, automated well units etc. were demonstrated. The participants also visited Chemical Engineering and Information Technology Labs. The visit ended with a student feedback session.
The visit was successfully coordinated by Mr Pranav Thakur, Deputy Registrar (Academics) and Prof. Hemant V Chavan under the guidance of Dr Milind S Yadav, Head, Career Counselling Cell.
