Educational Visit of Phatak High School and Jr. College Students to FAMT
An Educational Visit was organized at Hope Foundation’s Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri on 12th October, 2018 for 12th standard (Science) students of Phatak High School and Jr. College, Ratnagiri. Total 41 Students visited the campus. The purpose of the visit was to give an exposure to the students about practical insight ofEngineering and applications of Science and Technology.
In the Morning session, Principal Dr. Kaushal Prasad interacted with the students and guided them regarding the need of Engineering in human life with examples. It was followed by a seminar on Engineering as a career path after 12th by Prof. Milind S. Yadav (Associate Professor and HoD, MED) who gave a brief idea about different branches of Engineering along with job opportunities.
After interactive session, the students in group of 20 each visited various laboratories from all the departments. The visit was started with Mechanical Engineering Department and Workshop Facility wherein the students visited Kinematic of Machinery Lab, Internal Combustion Engine Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, and Mechatronics Lab. The projects of final year students were also showcased during the visit. Also the students have visited Carpentry shop, welding and fitting shop and Machining Shop.
In the evening session, the students visited various laboratories from Electrical, Electronics and Electronics and Telecommunication, Chemical Engineering departments where various projects like Remote controlled Robot, Voice controlled Robot, Electronic Dice, Street Light Controller, automated well unit etc. were demonstrated. The participants also visited Chemical engineering and Information Technology Labs. The visit ended with student feedback session.
