Donation Drive for Avishkar School
The Association of Students of Electronics and Telecommunication (ASENT) organized a ‘Donation Drive for Avishkar School’ on Friday, 07 February 2025.
Avishkar is a school for mentally challenged students at TRP, Ratnagiri. It has 90 students from different age groups from 3 years to 18 years suffering from some mental disability. The teachers work with the students to identify the skill sets these students can acquire. The teachers further teach them the desired skill/art and make them eligible to earn. Impressed with this noble motive of the school, our ASENT committee members from SE, TE and BE came together and planned to donate some useful items for the students of the ‘Avishkar School’.
Students, faculty and staff members of various departments of FAMT contributed to this ‘Donation Drive’. Head of the Department, Dr. Sharada V. Chougule and ASENT faculty in charge, Dr. Girish G. Bhide guided the students for this drive. Principal, Dr. Kaushal Prasad sir also joined the cause by donating some items.
