The Indian government introduced BHIM Mobile app to initiate fast, secure and reliable cashless payments. In view of this, the students of Electrical Engineering in association with the department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), FAMT organized Digital India Campaign from 8th to 12th February, 2018. Wherein, the students disseminated the information on the digital transactions, cashless system and use of BHIM Mobile App to the common masses from nearby residential societies, shopping complexes and villages.
The students from second and third year electrical engineering department took part in the campaign. The students guided the audience regarding the various modes of cashless system like cheque, NEFT/RTGS, internet banking, mobile/SMS banking and use of BHIM application with power point presentation. The students gave the live demonstration of transaction by using android mobiles. Total 45 students of the electrical engineering department approached residential societies, shopping complexes, and villages. The people appreciated the efforts taken by the Electrical Engineering students. The department Faculty Coordinator of DLLE Prof. Sudhir S. Wamane and Prof. M. N. Tagare took effort to organize this event.
