Department of Chemical Engineering Celebrates World Biofuel Day
The Department of Chemical Engineering celebrated‘World Biofuel Day’ on 10thAugust 2023 in collaboration with the Association of Chemical Engineering Students(ACES) in presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Nitin Kanse.The main objective of the program was to create awareness about the production of next-generation biofuels and their importance amongst undergraduate students of the Chemical Engineering Department.
The program started with the felicitation of all faculty members of the department by students. Dr Nitin Kanse shared his thoughts on the importance of Biofuel as an alternative energy source. Prof. Raju Marag explained opportunities available in Biofuel industries for Chemical Engineers. Prof. A K Bandsode explained the government policies related to Biofuel. Final–year Chemical engineering students coordinated the event successfully.
Ms Samiya Shivkar & Mr Nilesh Gurav hosted the program and all faculty members of the Chemical Engineering Department along with 32 students from the Second, Third and Final Years of Chemical Engineering were present for the event.
