A Webinar on Demystifying Analytics for Mechanical Engineers
The Department of Mechanical Engineering arranged a webinar on “Demystifying Analytics for Mechanical Engineers” for SE, TE & BE students.Mr Khemraj Sawant-Morye (Aircraft data analyst- Airbus) delivered a session on Thursday, 5thAugust 2021.
The webinar started with felicitation and introduction of keynote speaker by Mr Arman Fanaskar (Final Year Student, Mechanical Engineering Department) and Prof. R. M. Rasal (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering). Mr Khemraj Sawant-Morye has completed his M.E. (Mechanical Design) and currently working as an Aircraft data analyst at Airbus, Bangalore. He is having more than 6 years of industry experience.
Mr Khemraj Sawant-Morye, during the session, explained how to build a career in data science, big data analysis in the manufacturing sector. He explained about scope, basic concepts and knowledge about the applications of data analysis and coding skillsets. The takeaway of the talk was the content of the mechanical branch that is important for making a career in this specific domain of data analysis with the manufacturing segment. He shared his experience in the corporate field and organization. He also explained the skill sets that are required to acquire a career in the same domain.
From the Department of Mechanical Engineering, a total of 111 students participated in the webinar. Prof. R. M. Rasal(Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering) and Prof. P. R. Kamble(Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering) coordinated the event successfully under the guidance of Dr M. S. Kirkire (Dean Academics &HoD Mechanical Engineering).
