An Expert Session on “Twitter Data Analytics using NLP” was organized by the Information Technology department on 06th November 2020. Dr Vinayak Ashok Bharadi, Associate Professor and Head, Information Technology department, FAMT Ratnagiri was the resource person.
The session focused on creating awareness about data analytics of one of the most widely used social media platform; Twitter. Dr V. A Bharadi interacted with students via YouTube live and answered their queries after the session. He discussed the basic concept of data analytics, emphasizing on the impact of the amount of data generated through social media. He also gave students a hands-on demonstration of live Twitter data fetching and polarity analysis using Python, Tweepy and FLAIR analytics tools.
The total count of attendees was 52 across IT, EXTC and ETRX branches of various colleges in Mumbai University. The event was initiated by Dr Vinayak Bharadi and organized by Prof. Shashank S. Tolye. All the attendees enthusiastically attended the session and were satisfied by the valuable knowledge delivered throughout the session.
