A Workshop on Building a Highly Available Web Application on AWS
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML), Finolex Academy of Management & Technology, Ratnagiri signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brainfloss Pvt. Ltd., Pune. Under this MoU, the Department organized a one-day Workshop titled “Building a Highly Available Web Application on AWS” on 10th March 2025, from 09:30 AM to 5:00 PM for the third-year students of the CSE-AI & ML Department. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Pranav Phadke, Technical Director, Brainfloss Pvt. Ltd., Pune.
The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance practical knowledge and design highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure. The session saw the active participation of 34 students, eager to explore the detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, VPC, and pricing concepts to develop Web applications using AWS.
Expert resource person, Mr. Pranav Phadke, guided the students through the stepwise procedure of developing a web application with Scalability and Load-balancing features. He shared details about how to solve the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Exam. The workshop covered the essential Concepts of AWS such as Building a VPC and launching a Web Server, building a Lambda, exploring AWS networking services Accessing and configuring Amazon CloudWatch monitoring features, and designing architecture with Load Balancing and Auto Scaling features. Participants gained valuable insights into the latest trends and techniques in Cloud Computing, enhancing their practical skills and preparing them for future challenges in the tech industry.
The coordinators of this workshop was Prof. Madhura K. Zagade, Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML). This workshop was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof. V. V. Nimbalkar, the Head of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) Department.
