A Webinar on Gearing Up-Phase II
The second talk of the Gearing Up Webinar Series was delivered by Shri Paresh Teredesai on Saturday 25th September 2021. A total of 118 students from SE, TE, and BE attended the webinar. The session was on Resume Writing.
Initially, Prof. M. N. Tagare welcomed & introduced Mr Paresh Teredesai. Mr Paresh Teredesai has passed BE Mechanical in 2001 and has completed ME from SP College, Andheri. He has also completed MBA in International Business Management. He has professional experience of 20 years and worked in sectors like Engineering and IT services and product management. He has worked in the capacities like Product Manager, IT Service Center Head, Engineering Manager, R&D Engineer during his career. Presently, he is working as a Product Owner at BlueConch Technologies, Pune.
Mr. Paresh discussed the important contents which were discussed in Phase I. Then, he explained the different stages of writing a resume. He advised students how to describe points like header, objective, education, project assignments, skills, certifications, achievements, and interests. He emphasized undertaking different projects, completing internships, and skills. He also discussed dos and don’ts in these steps with examples. The session ended with questions. The students expressed their satisfaction over the knowledge imparted.
The Department Head, Dr Sandeep Chawada was also present for the webinar. Prof. M. N. Tagare and Prof. Vaibhav Sansare coordinated the entire activity. The program ended with a vote of thanks. Alumnus Sandeep Sanjay Kulkarni, TCS, designed the web poster for the event.
