A Webinar on DevOps Foundation: Focus on Culture- Industry Perspective
In the field of IT and software development, DevOps implementation is gaining significant popularity. DevOps is not a software — not a tool, not a framework, not a product and not a programming language, but an approach whereby the development and operations teams work together, instead of waiting for the other to complete the tasks, to enable continuous delivery of value to end-users. This software development methodology improves the collaboration and communication between the development and the operations teams using various automation tools. To automate manual tasks such as software testing, code integrations, etc, DevOps is the first choice in the IT industry.
With the support and motivation from Dr. Kaushal Prasad, Principal FAMT, a Webinar on “DevOps Foundation: Focus on Culture- Industry Perspective”, was organized by the Information Technology department on Saturday, 13 June 2020. Mr. Sachin Tiwari, (Agile Lead at HSBC Software Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, Telangana, India) was the resource person. Prof. A. R. Palwankar, Convener of the webinar introduced the speaker and explained the objectives of the webinar. Dr. V. A. Bharadi Head of IT Department graced the inaugural program and addressed the participants. Mr. Sachin Tiwari who explained the DevOps vs Agile, DevOps Life Cycle, CI/CD tools.GitHub, VCS, and Docker use.
There were more than 100 participants who attended the webinar. All the participants were received the e-Certificates upon giving the feedback. The participants found it very useful and demanded further webinars on the same topic.
