A Webinar on Cyber Security was organized by the Information Technology Department on 04th November 2020. Mr Pratik Sonawane, an Enterprise Cyber Security Consultant, from Mumbai was invited for the webinar.
The webinar focused on creating awareness about Cyber Security, as a career option for FAMT students. The total count of attendees was 54 from IT, EXTC and ETRX branches. Mr Pratik Sonawane interacted with students via the Google meet platform and answered their queries after the session. He emphasized on understanding the value of network security for reducing network vulnerabilities, identifying ways to assess your IT systems risk level, developing a culture of cybersecurity within the organization and identifying the importance of developing a cyber security incident response plan.
The event was initiated by Hod IT, Dr Vinayak Bharadi and organized by Prof. Atiya Kazi. All the students expressed a vivid interest in attending and benefiting from more such webinars in future.
