A Webinar On Chemical Engineers and Atomic Energy in Service of Humanity
The Department of Chemical Engineering in association with the Indian Women Scientists’ Association, Vashi Navi Mumbai, organized a Webinar on Chemical Engineers and Atomic Energy in service of Humanity for second to final year students on 25th October 2021.
The resource person for the webinar was Dr Sheela Chaudhary, a Retired Outstanding Scientist and Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad. The resource person highlighted the importance of nuclear energy and talked about the role of Chemical Engineers in the application of nuclear energy in the service of humanity. She also gave information about the Department of Atomic Energy.
Prof. A. K. Bandsode, Head of the Department, coordinated the event and introduced the speaker. Prof. P. A. Giri acted as the anchor for the event. All faculty members of the Department of Chemical Engineering attended the webinar.
