Finolex Academy of Management and Technology, Ratnagiri has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with M/s Geometric, Pune on 19th November 2016 in association with Indian Society for Technical Education, India. As per this MOU, FAMT will get a latest DFX software developed by Geometric for training to its faculty and students.
As the foreign Universities are knocking the doors of India, our students must be made globally competent. On this backdrop, interaction with industry plays a vital role. Hence, FAMT is keen on doing MOUs and imparting state of the art knowledge to its students.
FAMT being a leading institute in Konkan, Indian Society for Technical Education has given this responsibility to host an event of signing the MOU with M/s Geometric, Pune for all technical institute in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurga districts. Accordingly 14 colleges represented by their Principals, HODs (Mechanical) and faculty members were present for this event. Prof. N.S.Katikar, National Executive council member, ISTE elaborated various activities of ISTE which are run throughout the year. He appreciated efforts put by FAMT team to organize this event in very short duration. Further Shri. YougirajDama, Product Manager, M/s Geometic explained the motive of the program and narrated the importance of industry-institute interaction. He also demonstrated the features of DFX software. Initially Principal FAMT Dr. Kaushal Prasad welcomed and felicitated all the dignitaries.
Prof. M. N. Tagare, convener of this ISTE function anchored the program. An organizing committee comprising Prof. Tagare, Prof. Hemant Chavan, Prof. Pranav, Dr. Kirkire, Prof. Gayatri Kirkire took efforts to make this event successful.
