Workshop on ‘Maintenance of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems’
The department of Mechanical Engineering conducted workshop on “Maintenance of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems” on 24 March, 2017 for the students of final year Mechanical Engineering. Prof. V S Bagade introduced the resource person Mr. J A Jaygade (M/s J. J. Engineering Works) who has around 30 year of experience in the field of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.
He explained basic components of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems and demonstrated working and maintenance of Reciprocating Compressor, Window Air Conditioner, Portable Air Conditioner, Deep Freezer, Evacuation and Charging of refrigerant. He also demonstrated formation of PUF (Poly-Urethane Foam) which is used as insulation material in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. 124 students were present for the workshop. Prof. V S Bagade and Prof. S U Mayekar coordinated this workshop. The session was concluded by vote of thanks by Prof S U Mayekar.
