The Webinar on ‘Career Opportunities in AI, ML and Data Analytics’ was organized by the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department on 19 April, 2021. Mr. Hari Haran from Great Learning (India’s leading Ed-tech company having collaborations with various renowned institutes, universities and companies at national and international level), delivered a session for S.E., T.E. and B.E EXTC students through Google Meet. The main objective behind organizing this webinar was to provide students an insight regarding career prospects in the domain of AI, ML and Data Analytics along with essential skill building.
This session was attended by 52 EXTC students. The session helped students to know about what AI/ML and Data Analytics is all about and after gaining the knowledge of this domain what opportunities are there in the industry. Resource person explained the roles and responsibilities associated with various job positions available such as machine learning engineer, data analyst,data scientist, etc., what skillsets are required for that, what are the ways to build these skillsets, which are different recruiting companies with emphasis on three premium courses offered by Great Learning namely – Machine Learning using Python, Artificial Intelligence Foundations and Business Analytics with SQL & Excel. Apart from this, students were also made aware about different free courses offered by Great Learning to build required skillsets for AI/ML and Data Analytics.
The session was superintended by the Head of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department, /Dr. S. V. Chougule along with Prof. Sujay Mainkar as the Webinar coordinator.
