FAMT Celebrated National Voters Day
FAMT Electoral Literacy Club in association with FAMT Cultural Committee and NSS Unit celebrated National Voters Day on 25th January 2022. The theme for this year was Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative. It envisages the Election Commission of India’s commitment to facilitate the active participation of voters during the elections and to make the complete process hassle-free and a memorable experience for all voters.
Since 2011, National Voters’ Day has been celebrated every year across the country to mark the Foundation Day of the Election Commission of India, i.e. 25th January 1950. The main purpose of celebration is to encourage, facilitate and maximise enrolment, especially for the new voters. Dedicated to the voters of the country, it creates awareness and promotes informed participation in the electoral process.
