TECHSPRING-2K20
The Association for Students of Electronics and Telecommunication (ASENT) organized a technical fest Techspring- 2K20 with a motto of ‘Manifest your skill, Accelerate your talent’ from 27th February to 28th February 2020.
The techfest provided a platform and encouraged the students to showcase their innovative ideas and technical excellence. Continuing the trend, this year also saw an overwhelming response and participation of the students from various institutes of the Konkan region. Events such as Tech PPT, Project Competition, Circuitrix, Quiz Maniac, Spell-Bee, Tech-Photo, Blindfold, Box cricket, Eklavya, Kaladarpan, Mehendi etc. were organized as a part of the festival. Eklavya, Robo Soccer, Kaladarpan are newly introduced this year. Students enthusiastically participated in different events. Model of robot created by co-ordinators named as ‘ASENTO’ grabbed the attention of all.
The function was inaugurated by Principal Dr Kaushal Prasad in the presence of Dr S. V. Chougule (HOD-EXTC department), Prof. G.S.Kulkarni, Prof. A. A. Chavan(Faculty Incharge, ASENT) and Mr G. K. Desai (Student Chief Co-ordinator, ASENT).
Dr S. V. Chougule, HOD EXTC, emphasized the importance of organizing such events in student’s life. It helps in grooming the overall personality of students in terms of leadership, managing skills and teamwork. Dr Kaushal Prasad, the Principal, focused on the significance of these events in building the career of the students. Prof. G.S.Kulkarni and A. A. Chavan, Faculty Incharge, ASENT appreciated and motivated the students for the systematic organization of the event. Mr G. K. Desai (Student Chief Co-ordinator, ASENT) thanked the co-ordinators for their continuous support and help in organizing this event.
On the same day, ASENT celebrated ‘Marathi Rajbhasha Din’. BE EXTC student Ms Jagruti Rane expressed her feelings about ‘Marathi Language’ as

On the occasion of ‘Marathi Rajbhasha Din’, students of the EXTC department presented a song by Shreerang Godbole.

All dignitaries on the dais congratulated ASENT for the grand success of the event and also praised the collaborative efforts for making fantastic decoration, teamwork & management skills of ASENT students’ team which made this event successful.
The event was successfully concluded on 28th February 2020 with a prize distribution ceremony followed by the vote of thanks from Dr S. V. Chougule, HOD EXTC.
This program served the following objectives:
- To motivate students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for balanced academics.
- To improve managing skills, leadership and team skills and overall Personality of students’.
- To improve the interaction between students of SE, TE, BE.
- To celebrate ‘Marathi Rajbhasha Din’
